Grade 6/7A - Small Learning Community (Based on 26-27 School Year) 4/19/2026 Wednesday & Sunday 7 PM EST TBA In this course, middle schoolers will write in various modalities to include: creative writing, expository essays, persuasive essays, and speech writing. Small groups will emphasize strong sentence/paragraph writing, grammar, inference (reading), collaboration on written work, peer editing/tangible feedback. Finally to foster communication skills, students will give small group presentations and partake in discussion.

In this course, we will focus on the fundamentals of strong sentences, paragraphs and longer pieces. Students will practice with storytelling, non-fiction writing and more. Instructor feedback will be a primary component of this fundamental course.
