Richmond Writing Club

Smart Solutions is excited to announce that we will once again be offering face to face instruction (in addition to our virtual instruction). Richmond Writing Club will be in the Short Pump area for our students grades three through five.



SESSIONS ARE 90 MINUTES once a week from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.!

Small Learning Community


In this course, we will focus on the fundamentals of strong sentences, paragraphs and longer pieces. Students will practice with storytelling, non-fiction writing and more. Instructor feedback will be a primary component of this fundamental course.

Grade 5 -

In this course, we will focus on: creative writing, essay writing, strong sentence/paragraph writing, grammar, inference (reading), collaboration on written work, peer editing/tangible feedback, small group presentations and discussion.

Grades 6/7 -

In this course, we will focus on: creative writing, expository essays, persuasive essays, speech writing, strong sentence/paragraph writing, grammar, inference (reading), collaboration on written work, peer editing/tangible feedback, small group presentations and discussion.
